Medical Care at its Finest!

A lot can happen and go undocumented when one slacks off on blogging. Like children getting bigger and moving on to bigger and better things. But this...well, I couldn't let this one go.

My baby is all grown up (all of eleven years old) and has become a doctor. Well, for today, anyway!

She created a really detailed hospital room with a large piece of cardboard and lots of other miscellaneous things. Good thing, too, since her little girl is in dire need of medical attention.

Josefina is all hooked up to the heart/lung monitor (I had to remind the doctor that the leads would be attached to the patient's chest, not her left arm). She needs a blood transfusion via the Kleenex box, and she's also on oxygen via a paper cup and yarn which are attached to a plastic teapot (not shown).

The little one needed some help with breathing (balloon and another paper cup).

Then she went into a-fib so Doc Mandy got out the defibrillator...

Mandy got her heart running right again and just to make sure, listened with her very own stethoscope (headband, yarn and paper cup).

Additional tools of the trade -- tweezers from MY first aid kit and a homemade otoscope .

Yep! The finest of medical care, right here in my own home! Now, tell me again why it's so expensive?
